In my spare time, I have a number of hobbies and interests that occupy me. I love to travel, taking photographs and videos which I post to Instagram (www.instagram.com/wanderingdesign/). I also enjoy sci-fi and creating sci-fi-inspired art, videos, and stories.

Warped Realms Magazine
I created, wrote, and produced a science-fiction humour magazine called Warped Realms. I have produced two issues and am currently working on #3. I would describe Warped Realms as a cross between National Lampoon (with a hint of MAD Magazine) and Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Warped Realms is filled with original stories, funny articles, and parody advertisements, all in the guise of a typical periodical. For the cover art, I like to combine the aesthetic of OMNI magazine covers but with a little joke, always sci-fi themed, like MAD magazine covers.
A digital version of Issue #2 is available to view here.

Motion Graphics and Video
One of my interests has always been video production and visual effects. When I was a kid, I watched every show about special effects and 'the making of' type program he could find. I’ve always been fascinated by the medium of film and the 'magic' of movie making. After attaining my bachelor's degree, I enrolled in a Film & Video Production class at Austin FilmWorks, where I was taught by film professor Steve Mims, who also taught filmmaker Robert Rodriguez.
It was there that I (along with my study partner Peyton Duncan) produced the short The Porter Proxy for our final project. We premiered our film at a local theater along with other class films.
I have experience using Premiere Pro, After Effects, professional DV camcorders (Panasonic DVX-100A, Canon XL-1 and GL-1) and vintage Super 8mm cameras, green screens, and audio equipment.
Speedpainting Video: Futuristic Hovercraft Advertisement Poster
software: After Effects, Premiere Pro
In this video, I'll show how I created a vintage style advertisement for a futuristic hovercraft, created out of 1940's Buick. You'll see how I went from modifying the car into a jet thruster-powered sci-fi hovercraft with astronaut and alien occupants to a final vintage style magazine full-page advertisement.
