AANP National Conference 2023, New Orleans BRANDING

notes: I developed a logo that instantly said "New Orleans' while also being very on-brand for AANP. I centered the logo around a fleur-de-lis shape, which is very emblematic of New Orleans. But instead of using typical NOLA/Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold, and green; I used AANP brand colors. To add to the sense of fun for the conference, I arranged the colors in wavy and non-uniform shapes and sizes. The logo and type use six different AANP colors, giving it a vibrant and dynamic feel.
AANP is all about using images of actual NP members instead of stock photos but I didn't have any member images from New Orleans. I did have some images of members from an outing at a previous conference. I cropped the group out and composited them on New Orleans street images which combined the French Quarter architecture and the NOLA tram, both landmarks of the city.

special note: This year the Expo divided the floor into three different business categories or 'Pavilions", each with an assigned color. For the backgrounds, I created a layered faceted 'prism' design of the three pavilion colors, with different transfer modes; giving all the collateral a dynamic and colorful look. To promote and reinforce the new theme, I created a category graphic hex for each pavilion and used those throughout the collateral. I hoped to create an evergreen design with elements that can be reused each year (as long the show continues with the three categories theme.)
